The Groop - The Jet Song (When the Weekend’s Over) (1969)
Not the Australian Groop or the wild American garage rock Groop found on Back from the Grave Vol. 8, but instead a Los Angeles sunshine pop group formed by former member of Sergio Mendes’ Brasil 66, Richard Adler. This fabulous, swinging tune was written by Chris Ducey, while another one of their songs was used in Midnight Cowboy.
